Vigil does not store passwords, PINs, or credentials. Vigil stores location pointers ("where to look") and contact guides ("who to call"), never the means of access.

Every AI output surfaces a question for you and a professional. "This may be worth discussing with your attorney." Vigil organizes and coordinates. It does not provide legal, tax, investment, or insurance advice.
How it's built.
Encrypted at every level.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Individual fields are protected with dedicated encryption keys, not just the database as a whole.
Instant session control.
Sessions can be revoked immediately. During an activation lockdown, all access is independently trackable and revocable in real time.
Immutable audit trail.
Every action is logged with timestamps and cannot be edited or deleted. If there is ever a question about what happened and when, the answer exists.
Multi-party verification.
Activation access requires authentication from your spouse plus attestation from your designated trusted contacts. No single point of compromise.
Human verification.
Trusted contacts verify through personal questions you set, not through credentials that can be stolen or social-engineered.
Anomaly detection.
Unusual patterns, conflicting attestations, and other anomalies are flagged and escalated before access is granted.
